Economic Department (DED) Services

Every transaction that touches your trade licence, filed and tracked.

SRV-04 · Overview

Economic Department (DED) Services in Dubai & the U.A.E.

Your trade licence is the document every other approval hangs from. Change a shareholder, add an activity, move office or update a manager, and the licence has to be amended before immigration, the bank or the landlord will accept anything else. Miss the renewal date and the fines start quietly, then escalate.

We handle the full range of Department of Economy and Tourism transactions — from a first instant licence to a complex share transfer — and we track your renewal window so you are never renewing late.

Questions

Economic Department (DED) — what clients ask

Late renewal attracts a monthly fine and, after a period, can block immigration transactions and freeze your visa quota. It is almost always cheaper to renew immediately than to wait. Send us the licence and we will tell you the exact position before you commit.

Yes. Activities can be added at any point in the licence year, though some require an external approval from the relevant regulator first. Adding an unrelated activity sometimes triggers a change in the licence type, and we check that before filing.

Not necessarily. A properly attested power of attorney allows us to complete the notarisation without every shareholder attending. If a shareholder is abroad, we tell you exactly what needs attesting in their country and in what order.
